About the Video
This is the only surviving video of Alec Williams playing with his band, This is Heat. It was recorded live at the Island Cottage Hotel, 953 Edgemere Drive, Rochester NY.
Nine of the experimental guitar songs were digitally remastered in 2005 and the video was encoded to digital from the analog original VHS tape. Unfortunately, tape recordings have an endemic wow-and-flutter which made exact synchronization impossible to achieve.
As such, this is an imperfect record of the This is Heat experience but it is the only one available to the curious.
